Timothy Mills was born in Swindon in 1981.

Early observational interests came in the form of birdwatching, microscopes and the 'Find 50' books of the mid-eighties; the motorway edition being a particular favourite.

In 1999 he studied design at Bournemouth University but left after a year and became a draughtsman for an architectural practice in Cheltenham.

In 2006 he graduated with a first class honours degree in photography from the Falmouth College of Arts and currently resides in Gloucestershire.
